Slate Products

For Essex, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk & London

Slate is a fine-grained, foliated, homogeneous metamorphic rock derived from an original shale-type sedimentary rock composed of clay or volcanic ash. Slate has good thermal resistance making it a good material for hearths, although it does scratch easily.

Our Worktops

St Stone Works, The No.1 Choice

Our granite worktops come in various formats, colours and finishes to provide you with options when shopping for a new worktop. Since granite is a natural stone, it can withstand hot temperatures, and heavy drops on the surface, however it is known to be porous.

On the opposite side of the spectrum, quartz worktops are a manufactured worktop that has hard granite, resins, and artificial rock. These materials add strength and uniqueness to each piece all while providing the worktop a surface that can withstand scratches and stains.

When it comes to luxury and beauty, nothing rivals marble worktops. Formed through heat and pressure, the slab forms into a unique worktop with great personality. Because marble is composed primarily of the mineral calcite, the surface is vulnerable to scratches and acids.

We welcome you to give us a call to discuss your project, send us an email to learn more about our products, or stop by our showroom to browse our collection of kitchen worktops today.
